This is probably due to the us using MSN Protocol 9. From my understanding this has been dropped... the most common version is MSNP15 (with MSNP16 being used in beta clients). I've almost finished updating our client to MSNP15

I think we need to have new MSN support in the next release. I have had reports that the existing MSN plugin no longer works, which would not look good on a new release :)
